Yours truly made an appearance on DCTV’s “The Scoop” program last night. “The Scoop” is a program that highlights DCTV producers of quality and/or high profile, community oriented shows. I was honored to have been asked to appear. You may see this program at various times during the month of December in Washington, DC on DCTV, Comcast channels 95 & 96 and RCN channels 10 & 11. Check the television listings in The Washington Informer or online at www.dctvonline.tv for airdates and times.
The appearance went well with one exception. I had asked a friend and talented cosplayer, Shemika Berry, to appear in costume as Storm of The X-Men. “The Scoop” producer made what I felt was a unilateral decision to block her appearance on the show. Ms. Berry’s costume was terrific and she would have added immeasurably to the atmosphere of the program during my interview. I was extremely disappointed that she was not permitted to appear and have vowed to find some way to make it up to her. Look for an upcoming season three profile on cosplayers featuring Ms. Berry.
The weekend is looking pretty exciting. My friend, Eric “The Smoke” Moran is working on a new fan film in Philadelphia and has asked me to make a cameo appearance. For those of you unfamiliar with Eric’s work, he and partner Brian Gregory previously produced, Clash in the Knight, a fan film featuring Eric as Black Adam and Brian as Batman.
